Illuminaries are light sculptures that are uniquely one-of-a-kind. They are a beautiful combination of papier mache and wood branches that are lit from within. Each illuminary hangs on the wall or is free standing. All have a regular two-pronged electrical plug or can be installed by a licensed electrician and connected to a switch. Rope lighting is typically rated to last for 25,000 hours of run time.

I feel there is something awe-inspiring about the way the handmade papers, branches and light are coming together in the illuminary light sculptures. They seem to have a unique effect on people, inspiring a calm, peaceful state of love and joy. As I create the light sculptures, I keep my mind mostly disengaged while the character of each lamp appears in its own time. All of my sculptures are lovingly created without time constraints and are never rushed.
Illuminaries contribute beautifully to homes as well as healing environments. Select illuminaries were featured in treatment rooms of the Durango Cancer Center. They add soft ambient light to massage therapy and yoga rooms, as well as chiropractic offices and all healing centers.
